Jurgen is responsible for driving our mobility strategy and enhancing the customer experience. He started his career in the Netherlands and now has over 25 years of industry knowledge supporting large client engagements. Having relocated to Italy, Singapore, South Korea and Switzerland, he also has first-hand experience of relocation and expatriation.

Nick is responsible for leading strategic growth across our sales teams and attracting new business on a global scale.

With over 15 years of experience in global mobility, Nick has a strong understanding of the unique challenges organizations face when relocating their employees and the creative solutions required to empower their mobility function.

Joanne Danehl

Global Director, Intercultural, Language and Partner Support Services


Joanne’s leadership helps Crown to deliver training solutions that meet clients’ corporate goals and the needs of their relocating employees. She works with individuals and teams around the world to provide the support services that are key to a successful relocation.

Joanne has worked in commercial training for over 20 years and global mobility for more than 15 years.

Phil Smith

Global Director, Financial and Compensation Services


Phil leads our financial and compensation services businesses. He is focused on enhancing clients’ awareness of and helping reduce mobility costs without sacrificing employee benefits and experience.

Phil has over 30 years’ mobility tax and compensation experience with a big four background for much of that time.

Giovanni De Carlo

Business Development Director EMEA


Giovanni started his career within the aviation industry, in which he worked for nearly 20 years in various roles. He has lived and worked in the U.K., Austria, Spain, Geneva and Zurich while managing business across Europe and Northern Africa. Giovanni has mainly been acting as an executive in commercial and general management functions, which allowed him to gain a vast experience in managing people in multicultural and rapidly changing environments. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Zurich and a MBA degree from the Danube University of Krems in Austria. As Business Development Director for Crown since 2005, he continuously expands his know-how by suggesting global mobility solutions for multinational companies and closely follows industry trends on a worldwide basis.

Roberta Carnaccini

Global Immigration Director


Roberta Carnaccini, Italian native, has studied foreign languages and literatures in Bologna, with scholarships that brought her to the universities of Mainz, Germany and Indiana, US. Her Master thesis is anthropologically based on the culture and habits of the Native Americans of North and Central America. She also has a post-graduate degree in Communication and Public Relations.

Keen on foreign cultures, Roberta lived, for longer or shorter periods, in several countries including France, UK, Ireland and the Philippines. In 2008 she moved to the US working as Immigration Leader for a top Fortune 500 Company. During this stay, she also became an American citizen. She is also a fierce conservationist and is an ocean-lover.

She then moved to Germany in 2014 and joined Crown in 2017. She currently lives in Italy after having been away for 15 years.

Roberta brings 18+ years technical experience in the immigration field, a multicultural and multilingual background and a client perspective that allows her to always consider the other side of the coin.
